Climate

Climate:

  • The weather in England is very unpredictable.  One minute it could be a beautiful day and the next it could be pouring down rain.  This crazy weather should be considered when packing to travel to the country.
  • For the most part there are warm summers and cool winters.  There are some extremes for both seasons, mostly in the winter where temperatures can drop very low and the weather turns very frigid.
  • The temperatures range from around 0 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius.
  • The best months to travel to England are May, June, September, and October.  This is because the weather is very mild.
  • One should consider these  months of high tourism when bringing in new business.

Weather Influences:
  • The cool and wet climate is caused by the location of England.
  • Being in the Northern Latitude causes the temperature to stay lower than many countries.
  • Because England is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean there are lots of storms and rain that comes mainland.
  • The lake region is the wettest part of England.  Here there is an average of 130 inches of rain a year.  This compares to 40 inches in the West and 20 inches in the East.
