- Throughout England there are many different types of housing.
- In the countryside and in small towns many live in stone or brick houses. These houses usually have multiple buildings within the whole lot. There are yards and lots of nature.
- In the cities most people live in townhouses or flats. The lofts are usually one floor with one to two rooms. They are trendy and very popular amongst the younger generations. The townhouses are more for families and can sometimes be two to three stories high.
- In more rural areas it is very common for people to live on farms or manners. These houses are historical and very beautiful.
- There are also many castles and palaces throughout England. Some of these are still occupied by royals and other important families, but some are ruins and great tourist attractions.
- Most houses cost between 100,000 pounds and up. Flats are lest expensive and can most of the time be seen in a renting formation
- Almost every house is named by the family who lives or had lived there. There is usually a plaque at the entrance of the house that specifies the name of the manner.
- Main types of Housing:
- Detached (a house not joined to another house)
- Semi-detached (two houses joined together)
- Terrace (several houses joined together)
- Flats (apartments)
